Yes it is, but it is also more expensive. And you will to pick a different motherboard as the fx6300 is AM3+, while the Athlon is FM2

This looks like a pretty good build to be for about 10 dollars over $500. Dont know much about the mobo thought if someone else could shine some light as if it is any good or not. can always throw in another 4 gb of ram later when you get some more money and an optical drive really isnt required. If you need one add about 15 dollars to this.
