Hey guys !

I got a dual band gigabit router that supports 300mb wireless. My internet connections is 1gbps.
My wireless device is an Atheros which supports 150mbps but only on 2.4 Ghz.
I had run speed tests for a month now and the maximum speed i got through wireless is 90mbps...but my wireless device supports speeds up to 150mbps. I tried changing the channels but the speed is the same or worse. If i plugin the cable i get 800mbps in speed tests...So its not a computer performance issues(got an i7 notebook,8gb ram) or speed problem from the ISP.
Any suggestions ?

Thank you !

The only wireless that will even come close is AC1900, and there is no USB adapter for that yet.

Your N150 is doing pretty well at 90Mbps, N wireless -- actually all wireless -- performs well below its potential speed (hence the "up to 150Mbps"). When you want to do high speed downloads, use a cable. It is really not worth buying a USB wireless adapter that is N300 as it probably won't be any faster.
