Will my soundcard support 5.1 speakers?

Hello, first post and long timer lurker here. I love peanuts and my wife.

Anyways, I just finished getting all of my computer components set up. Only problem is that I'm not sure if my speaker system (Logitech X-530 [5.1]) will work to it's full functionality.

It's 5.1 (FL, FR, BL, BR, SUB) and I have three audio jacks in the rear of my PC.
Pink; green; blue. (In that order)

I'm trying to get the full functionality of the surround sound system; do I need to purchase any equipment or am I just not eloquent enough in the aduio field to figure this out myself. (I hate reading manuals) :sarcastic:

Here are my sound card specs:

Realtek High Definition Audio
Driver Provider: Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Driver Date: 5/22/2009
Driver Version: 5.10.0.5859

If you need more info let me know please; thanks in advance. :bounce:

Do you have the manual for your motherboard? It will tell you what goes where. I just looked at an ASUS H81M manual and it tells me the following:
For a 6 channel set up (5.1): Light blue rear port = Rear Speaker out, that will be the Black wired connection
Lime green rear port = Front Speakers out. That will be the green wired connector
Pink rear port = Sub and Center speakers. That will be the orange wired...
You should be alright. The light green lead is for your front speakers, the orange is for your subwoofer and center speaker, and the black is for your rear speakers. Attach to the same colored plugs in the back.
Then go to Control Panel>Realtek Audio Manger and make sure you are set for 5.1 sound. You might also have to make adjustments in ControlPanel>Sound.

Thanks for that information! However; my problem is that I don't have the green black and orange ports in the back (OF THE COMPUTER, not the subwoofer...just to clarify); they're pink, green and blue. Should I try plugging orange into blue or black into pink? (vice versa)

Or do I need an adapter of some sort...?

Thanks

Check your manual as it may slightly vary as I have no idea what mobo you have.
You will probably still have to go to the Realtek Audio Manager in the control panel to set up the speakers.

One more thing, you don't actually have a "sound card," but rather on-board sound: the sound chip or processor is built into and hard wired to the mother board.
