Cooler Master hyper N520 CPU cooler clearence question

Hello, first time poster here. I was just curious before I purchase it if it will be compatible with my ASUS Crosshair V formula-Z AM3+ mobo.

the measurements of the cooler are:
L=122.35mm
W=102.50mm
H=141.00mm

my case is a Cooler Master HAF X case, the case only permits a 170mm height limit cpu cooler which is not an issue obviously. My main concern is if it will leave room for the RAM and will it come in contact with the 990fx chipset next to the socket , and will i be able to mount it in such a way that its convenient for heat to be transferred to the top or back of my case.

Also I am a first time builder, Thanks greatly for the advice.

Hello Valorek,

May I ask which RAM you plan on using in your build?

Hello Valorek,

I responded to your PM. You shouldn't have any trouble since that RAM is only 30mm in height. Since you have the space in the HAF-X i would also suggest looking at the Hyper 212 EVO/Plus.
