Ok guys, so this is extremely confusing to me. Ever since i upgraded to a new gpu, minecraft lags. I have no idea why. Evern battlefield 4 works fine.
System:
GPU: Gigabyte radeon r9 270x oc windforce 2gb
CPU: Amd phenom II x4 965 black edition @ 3.4ghz
MOBO: Asrock 970 extreme4
RAM: patrion g2 8gb dual channel @ 1600mhz
BOOT HDD: 320gb 2.5in WD scorpio blue
DATA HDD: 640gb WD black
PSU: Rosewill Hive 650w
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
My old GPU was a Zotac gts 450 1gb.
With my old PGU i was pushing almost 300 fps in minecraft, but after i got my new GPU i barely even get 60. I am constantly getting massive lag spikes, making it almost unplayable. I had MSI afterburner up in the background while i played minecraft for a few minutes. I noticed that my core clock was constantly jumping up and down from 300 to 1100 while i play minecraft, but while playing BF4 it stays constantly at 1100.
I think that minecraft is not pushing enough demand to trigger the gpu to accelerate the application, but im not sure. Can anyone help?
