I am getting frustrated with this, seriously hoping for some answers. I have a WD my passport 2TB that is not being detected on my new desktop computer that has a asus z87-a motherboard. It constantly makes the connecting sound but never gets detected
Here's some more information about the problem, I have tried reinstalling the usb 3.0 drivers and it didn't work. I have tried plugging it into all my usb 3.0 ports still same result. There is not a problem with my usb 3.0 ports because I plugged a usb 3.0 drive and it was detected so i thought it might have been a problem with the drive not getting enough power so i contacted WD and they sent me a power booster cable(but is a normal micro usb to usb cable) and it is now detected in the usb 3.0 port but not working at usb 3.0 speeds. There shouldn't be a problem with the drive as it is detected on my laptop's usb 3.0 port.
I would be so thankful if i can get some help on how to get this drive performing the way that it should.
