Do you want both a GPU and RAM for under $200? Or a GPU for less than $200 and RAM less than $200?

It's all good. Here's some pretty good RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Also for an under $200 I would go with a 7870 GHz edition gpu.

r9 270 or HD 7870 GHz. For RAM G.skill Ripjaws at 1600Mhz are just about 70-80 after tax

Unless you plan to add another 8GB stick in soon, yes it does matter, dual channel RAM is much better than a single stick. And having more than 8GB for gaming is superfluous, Today while running Prime95 while running a GPU benchmark similar to Furmark which maxed out my GPU I still only used about 6GB of RAM at the peak, average only 4.3 GB. And thats max CPU and GPU usage, and Prime95 is RAM intensive as well.

Link to GPU, $200 but out of stock ATM:

Link to GPU, more expensive but in stock now:

this is RAM at 1333Mhz , id suggest you wait until 1600Mhz are back in stock (5 more dollars).

I've already provided him a link to in-stock 1600Mhz RAM previously, as well as most of the links you've said. However I would not buy a Powercolor gpu, I've heard bad things from a lot of them.

lol maybe that's why its so much cheaper than the ASUS DCII counterpart ( I have DCUII cooling on my 7870 its a frikkin solid cooler, and not really loud either)

Yeah, what they seem to do is get cheap parts and even sometimes include half the size memory buses (64 bit for a 128 bit gpu for example) without telling the consumer and effectively half the GPU performance. My philosophy is, you're spending so much on a PC anyways, why cheap out and risk a lousy part?

yeah I guess I should just be happy I hand picked each part and everything works great
