So i wanted to switch my processor's with a different one, one thats better, and my first problem was i put it in and my pc wouldn't post, then i updated the bios and now it post, but before i get the windows 8 logo i get the bsod, saying stuff like "failed to write digital signature." I'm almost 100% positive my hard drive is failing to load my windows boot files. People say i need to switch my hard drive sata from ide to ahci. but my bios is way different then my old computer, and i can't find it anywhere, if thats the problem then i can provide pictures of my bios. please help anyone.

My motherboard is a Acer Aspire m1610

you probs need to set your hard drive in bios to AHCI mode because you flashed bios it probs default to ide mode or set it to ide mode then you have to install your ahci drivers for your chipset then reboot pc, enter bios and change to ahci mode see if that works?

enter your bios
look through bios options until you come to sata controller change to ide mode or achi look through all bios settings if you have to.

try booting from DVD rom with windows 8 disk you should beable to sort something from there, if ya don't have a windows 8 disk then you'll have to find someone who has I guess, it would prob's be your easiest fix.
