I have a problem with my wifi. I cannot connect to the same wifi that my friend manage to connect to (my univ wifi). Fyi,i ve changed my dns to universal while my ip is automatically generated ip. Is it because of my dns that i cannot connect to the wifi?

Solution
Make sure you are obtaining an IP address automatically.

Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing > Local Area Connection > Properties >

Highlight Internet Protocol Version 6 and click Properties. Make sure Obtain an IP address and Obtain DNS server address automatically is "ticked".

Do this also for Internet Protocol Version 4.

Click Start, go to accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt, choose Run as Administrator

At the command prompt, copy and paste or type the bold text from below then press ENTER:
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Reboot the computer.

Make new connection.
