Haven't had any help with my last thread, so I decided to try building my own on Part Picker. Any thoughts? Good, bad? I plan on using this for some light to (maybe) heavy gaming. Also plan on working with video editing (Sony Vegas) for music videos and short films. I record and engineer music as well. With all of those things in consideration, would this work efficiently while performing all of those tasks? (not all at once of course)

Thanks!

Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Av54

(May change case and case fans. Open to suggestions :) )

And that's funny as well because i also like the Kingston because of the colour.. anyway since you have a case with windows i would pick the blue ones haha. This is 1600, same price and it's blue...

Oops should have mentioned that. I was hoping to spend about $600, and my build is right around there, the only thing causing it to exceed that is the copy of Windows 8 that I added to it. How's it look so far? I'm pretty happy with it's components but I'll take any recommendations into consideration.

Funny 'cause that was the one I initially chose. The only reason I changed it to the Kingston is because it's blue, haha. I'll likely revert back to that one though, thanks for the suggestion :)

Yeah that's pretty good, no major complaints. The 970 chipset is a bit notorious as well as the corsair CX series PSUs for their not so stellar reliability but it should all suffice for you and your budget. Also +1 on the previous ram selection, definitely an upgrade for even pricing.

I was originally trying to decide between the two Kingstons, but ended up with the HyperX one. Although it's obvious that the specs on the non-hyperX are higher, I guess somehow that extra "HyperX" convinced me to go with that one :pt1cable: Dumb mistake on my end haha

Alright so it's settled. I'll go with those one's. (Here's hoping I don't get swayed back to one of the others lol)
