My Setup:
i7-3770k CPU
GA-Z77X-UD5H MoBo
128GB SSD
1xR9 290
1xRadeon 5770
3xR9 270(Yet to BUY)

1000Watt EVGA SUPERNOVA PSU

Please tell me if i can put 6 Graphics cards in my motherboard using powered/non-powered PCI-e Risers. I know i need more juice from my PSU so i might get another hx850.
I am mining as well as gaming but for gaming i only use the R9 290 and none of the other cards. For mining i wanted to use all of these cards simultaneously and please advise on what OS ,software ,etc to use.

Thanks.

that's an idea but if you want it in one build then you'll have to get a motherboard with more PCI-E slots, you don't have enough for 6 cards. They don't have to be all x16 but still you don't have 6 slots in total, PCI-E x1, x4 or x16, doesn't add up, you can tell by looking at how many longish slots are on the motherboard (some have clips (3.0) and the ones that don't (2.0). The really short ones aren't for graphics cards but can be for sound cards ect.... You'll either need to build another computer and split the cards in the builds or get a new motherboard with more PCI-E slots.
LGA 2011 are the best motherboards for having lots of PCI-E slots (6+ but not always enough space between them for dual slot cards), You might want to look at XL ATX as they are longer length wise and therefore can have more PCI-E slots a longer length apart. I wouldn't suggest going for a new CPU as yours is fine just to go for a new socket. EVGA might have some and ASRock might be worth a look as well. OS wise, windows 7 Ultimate/Professional is the better OS in function wise, windows 8...bit of a letdown but 7 should be cheaper and go for not home premium but higher for added features.

But i dont intend to use them all on x16 slots , i just need them to use a pci-e slot and my motherboard shows 6 of them... im using risers to translate the x16 to x1. mining performance is not affected by x16 slots. i just need an answer if it will work in ubuntu or windows or whichever OS can support so many cards.
thanks.
