I have a i7-4770K and ASUS Z87-A motherboard.
I noticed when I enable Turbo Boost, my CPU frequency and voltage fluctuate. It will go back and fourth from 3899MHz @ 1.174v to 3799MHz @ 1.144v. Sometimes it drops to 3699MHz @ 1.114v. This is at idle. I'm not sure what my CPU is doing during load.
My question: Is this normal? My understanding of Turbo Boost is that it boosts under load, then goes back down to stock while idle. But in my situation, it's boosting while idle. Seems kind of odd...
