Overclocking an i5 4670k to 4.2 GHz... Are my current settings okay?

First time overclocker here! I've gradually increased my CPU multiplier, and my voltage accordingly, and now I've reached 4.2 GHz. My max temps under Intel Burn Test (max stress) is 76 degrees. I've set my CPU Core Voltage to 1.190v. I'm testing my PC's stability right now, and it seems to be good. My question is, are my current settings okay? Are my temps safe? Is my voltage okay? I want to be able to use my CPU for quite a while and I don't want to mess something up. Thank you!

Awesome! You should be good in that area my only other question is the use of this computer. If it is a gaming computer which I am guessing it is given that you are using a 4670k you should be good to go. I wouldn't push much farther both because of the temperature and the voltage are getting near the danger zone. Right now you are in the safe zone, but on the border. I have not heard of a computer that has failed because of these settings so I would say you are good to go.

When you say that the temperatures are at 76 degrees are you talking about Celsius of Fahrenheit? Also is this temperature when you are under load or when the cpu is idling. These are huge factors that will completely change whether or not the cpu is at a safe setting.

The temperature I stated in the original post is in Celsius, and when under load (Intel Burn Test at max stress).

Hey, first off I would recommend posting in a new topic next time. I would not push your clock any further because you are almost a ghz over your factory clock which is VERY extreme for non competition over clocking. My suggestion would be to really think if you are willing to lose a $240 cpu just trying to get an unnoticeable amount of performance more. If you are willing to take the risk then you can post back and I will help you proceed.
