Ram speed not working?

Recently OVerclocked my FX6300 to 4.5ghz(8hr prime test good) but now sometimes when im on the internet and i have my ram set to 1866 it freezes my whole computer everything sound mouse have to hard boot it. but when i change it to 1600 everything is fine and dandy. any thoughts?

I would just keep it at 1600

yah i dont mind it at 1600 but it kinda sucks since i bought the 1866 when the 1600 would have be cheaper

What is the voltage that your RAM is rated for? What voltage were you using at 1866? May need a little more.

it at 1.5(auto) i did bump it to 1.5125 and it worked for a little bit, I have corsair vengence. from their site (High-performance 8GB Vengeance kit for dual channel systems, 1866MHz, 9-10-9-27, 1.5V)

Not likely cause it only happens when you bump the RAM up to 1866, right?

Try bumping your voltage up to 1.550 v. If that doesn't work try 1.600 v. It should be safe as long as you stay below 1.650 v.

Bumped it to 1.550v and also i looked at the timing and it was different then on online on here it was set at 11-11-11-28 and the factory recommends 9-10-9-27 so thats what i set it to.

i bumped to 1.6 and ran a 40round intel burn test at max ram and it was good now on the internet trying it out, well see what happens

actually also i remember i think im not sure i think this all started happening after i installed kaspersky. Maybe the problem idk

I wouldn't worry about the Kasp. AV just yet. Don't want to change too many things at the same time. See how you make out with the voltage bump and go from there.

i did 1.6 and same deal i think it might have been my overclock setting for my fx6300 not wanting to run it at 1866 i would run the prime without changing setting and fine fine no errors for 8hrs, changed the settings to use 6000mb of ram while test and failed so i bump it done to 4.4ghz and everything is good(for now)

So I think u solved it I tweaked the nb and cpu freq a little and ran prime 95 using 6000mb of ram for 2 3hrs no errors and everything is running good back up to 4.5ghz at 1.42 volts
