I have a icon that pops up on my desktop now and than, don't know what it is. There are no options when you right click on it; cannot drag it to recycle bin. There are no functions when you click on it; refreshing desktop does nothing; running CCleaner, Spybot, does nothing. Rebooting gets rid of it for a few days, sometimes a week. The icon is a coffee cup with a picture of what looks like a cartoon centipede insect with a blue shirt, tie, red nose, antennas, laying down and holding an unplugged power cord. The word "Seconds" is the label in the middle of the icon. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Yes, nothing. This icon has no function when you click on it.

Hmm I would start working through the services list for any suspects (control panel/ admin tools /services). Also check the startup items in msconfig (start/enter 'msconfig' into the box there).

Personally I don't recognise the description of this icon (though others might).

Did the icon appear recently? if so you could try performing a system restore and choose a date prior to the icon's appearance. (enter 'rstrui.exe' in to the run box)
