I bought a new video card last month. From my Hd4670 this was a big jump, but i only enjoyed my GTX760 Hawk just for 2 weeks. After i decided that my 22 inch lg monitor was too small for movies I bought a HDMI cable to connect my Toshiba LED display to my new video card. Everything worked fine the first night, but in the morning while i was watching TV something went wrong, smoke started going out from the tv and sparks from the back of my video card. The pc was turned off so i tried to turn it on and I realized that everything was functioning including the GPU but I had no signal on my monitor. The TV was dead, it didn't even start anymore. I took the products back to the stores from which i bought them and today the answer was: "The warranty was canceled because the products broke down because of your fault."
I was wondering, considering that in the plug where i had the PC and Laptop is working and i am using it right now, the pc works, the laptop works too, and my router that was with the tv in a separate plug also works what do you thing that could cause this and what should i do to next because o payed a little too much than i wanted for this two devices.

Here is what is left from the cable

I wouldnt accept that answer, it sounds like the TV was faulty. Push harder for a replacement if the PC and graphics card is still working.

What caused it could have been a short out of some sort, or perhaps a power surge/spike. I would recommend getting a surge protector for any expensive electronics.

I sent the card because it gave no signal back to my monitor and they told my that it was my fault and they dropped the warranty. If there was a short or something like that why the other hardware is working absolutely perfect?
They kept the tv 4 days before telling me that they cancelled the waranty and the GPU over two weeks before letting me know that i screwed up and there is nothing left to do. I am really mad about this considering i only used the card for almost 2 weeks.
And i have some kind of automatic protections for the plugs if there is a short or something the power for the plugs is cut down
