Have you taken the 24 pin out and put it back in? If there is no connection between the green wire and one of the black wires the psu will not turn on. First take it off and then replace it, then if it is not working just tell me and I can give a better way to surefire test it.

I agree with ccky and am 95% sure that the psu is at fault. I had this happen to my first build and went through all the possible issues so I will most likely have something that will fix the issue.

Okay then the psu is working. So what you need to do is plug the 24 pin atx back into the board. Make sure the psu power switch is on and then try and boot up and see that the power is working. We know that this is a psu issue because there is no power so there is nothing else that could fail. Make sure that all of the 24 pin connectors are connected to the right slots. You may be thinking that I am assuming you are an idiot who can't plug in a cable correctly, but believe it or not this is one of the most common mistakes that I have seen made.

it is plugged in now the only and right way it can go, but still no sign of life, could it be the power button on my cage/case? if it is how can give signal to turn on the computer if the button isn't working :)

so my recommendation in this case is that you look at your case manual and read the exact instructions for plugging in the case led's and buttons. If they are not in the exact correct pins, they will not work so that could be the issue. The case manual will almost definitely have a diagram of how to plug these in. Tell me if this works and if not I still have a few more tricks up my sleeve.
