More about upgrade athlon 64x2 dual core 8ghz amd athlon 760k black edition quad processo good gaming
  1. that cpu isnt supported by that motherboard.
  2. The 760K uses a different socket and is not compatible with the current motherboard.
  3. AMD Phenom II X4/AMD ATHLON II X4 615e Quad Core CPU 2.5GHz
  4. switching from a dual to a quad will bring some benefits to gaming. especially on newer titles that require a quad as recommended spec.
some games like starcraft only need a dual core but the likes of bf3/4 really do need a quad.
  5. which is better sempron/phenom/Athlon
  6. hard to say as the last gen athlon was based on phenom 2 but this gens athlon is based on the fx cpu. yours will likely be based on phenom 2(not entirely sure) but if it is then phenom 2 then athlon then semperon in descending order.
if it is based on the newer fx then the athlon would be pretty much tied with the older phenom2 on performance per clock in some applications.
  7. Phenom II is better than even the current FM2 Athlon's, clock for clock.
  8. will a AMD Phenom II X4 945 be good for gaming
  9. Yes better than the Athlons.
  10. Does it work with my motherboard it is am3 ready
  11. Yes it is on the CPU support list I linked earlier!

You would have to spend significantly more on anything better as it would require a new motherboard.
  13. AMD Phenom II X4 945 can this play the latest games
  14. Yes it can matched with a good GPU.
  15. like what

That depends on resolution and in game settings. HD7750 is a good entry level card and GTX660, HD7870 or R9 270 would be the upper end I would recommend with that CPU.
