Hi, I am currently looking at the ASUS vg248qe that's around 450 in Australia. I'm not sure if I should wait another 3 months for g sync monitors or buy this one now.

Not in an incredible rush but would like a new monitor

Thanks in advance!

I really stand by previous answer to wait for G-Sync. They are literally right around the corner and any hardcore gamer will advise the same. G-Sync + high refresh rate = BUTTERY GOODNESS! If you really don't want to...

There are people on forums and Youtube who have successfully upgraded that monitor with G-Sync. I'd rather get a monitor that already has one integrated because you will ended up buying the monitor then taking out the PCB that was originally in the monitor (that you technically paid for) and replace it with the G-Sync module at an additional cost. When you buy a G-sync monitor you are not paying for 2 different PCBs so it will save you money.

Hi guys sorry for the latest reply in history, my current monitor is a samsung sync master 2333. There is no real reason for an upgrade simply for a nice gaming monitor for competitive bf4 and CSgo, I am running a gtx 770 so that should be fine. I play bf4 on low so I get average 200 fps so it seems like an insult to my GPU not to get a high refresh rate monitor. If I was to get a monitor before g sync appears whenever it does I was thinking the ASUS or the benqxl2411t, which one?

Thanks again for all the advice !

If you really don't want to wait, which I hope you do!!! Then just buy the 144Hz ASUS. It is a great value for all the gaming features and is up-gradable to G-Sync with a DIY kit if you change your mind later on.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll hang out and wait for g sync even though it'll be around the time school is back in play, but the ASUS ROG monitor really caught my eye. I'll wait for that to show up in Australia.

Thank you all for helping me with my decision !:)

Happy to hear! I'll be buying a G-Sync as well right when it releases.
