I'm having freezing problems with my computer. I'm not sure what is going on I ran a Ram test but came back with nothing, next I will test them individually. Before I do that I wanted to get your advice on this build, I'm starting to think that I need more power.
Can anybody let me know if I really do need more power to my system? Could be the cause of my computer randomly freezing for seconds to minutes at a time for no apparent reason some times.
Also should I upgrade my processor to a 8 core?

Budget will be $100 - $150
Purchase date will be a month of so from now
Any other upgrade advice for the future will be greatly appreciated.

This is my current build.

If you consider the 8core etc... &want to oc, be v careful with that mobo, am3+ msi boards are known to throttle cpu's with the high tdp/heat. A solid mobo would be an m5a97, or evo. Antec is a good psu brand. Hope this helps.

Your psu is a good one, and is plenty for a 7850.

If your use is video editing or a multi core enabled app, then 8 core is good.
If your purpose is gaming, then a quad is fine; few games can use more than 2-3 cores.

I have no idea what your freezing cause might be.

I'll run the Core Temp and see if it will show me the temps when it freezes. Cause sometimes it will be just the browser that freezes other times it is everything on my computer and even ctrl + alt + del Does nothing.

What would be considered hot for my CPU? They are at 75 Fahrenheit normally, haven't ran any games or anything yet to test.
Also is there a program that shows how many watts of power my computer is taking a program kinda like Core Temp but for power?

That is fine for the temp. I am not sure what is causing it if it is random. Make sure your PSU cables are all plugged in. Also, even though you did memtest already, try one stick of RAM at a time and see if the issue returns. You need to try and isolate the problem, as a last resort I would RMA the motherboard.

I actually screwed my bios during a update a while back had to sent my motherboard back and they sent me a brand new one. Been happening since before the motherboard so I know it's not that or loose cables. It just froze on me was at about a 70 then dropped to a 63 then continually dropped. I'm gonna do the ram one stick at a time here soon.
