Hi everybody.

I apparently have a big problem with my graphic card.
This concern the PC i have builted myself (the first)
Here is the hardware :

- Mémoire CRUCIAL DDR3 PC3-10600 - 4Go 1333 MHz
- Ventirad COOLERMASTER Hyper TX3
- Processeur AMD PHenom II X4 955 Black Edition - 3.2 GHz
- Carte mère MSI 760GM-P34 (FX)
- Carte graphique VTX3D Radeon HD7850 - 1024 Mo - PCI-Express
- Alimentation modulaire CORSAIR CX430M - 430W - 80+ Bronze
- Toshiba DT01ACA050 500 Go de 3,5" et 7200 tours/minute

Everything works perfectly except while playing games :
I got some 5 seconds black screens (sound keeps going) and after a while (around 10 and 20 min , it depends) a blue screen and the computer restarts/

error STOP
BCCode: a000000001
BCP1: 0000000005
BCP2: 0000000000
BCP3: 0000000000
BCP4: 0000000000

These phenomena rates decrease when decrease graphic parameters of the games (Trine and Skyrim, up to know)

I have tested the memories with memtest from an USB key ==> OK
I already tested different driver versions : none of the solve my problem.

Thank you a lot in advance for your help !

Hello !

Thank you for the answer.

I already performed benchmark to stress the GPU and CPU.
GPUI benchmark reached 65°C
I don't remember the maximum reached temperature for CPU benchmark but it was below 60°C.

Both benchmark tests were OK...

Visit this page and see if you find anything useful:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh450912%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

Also, try getting into the BIOS and finding a setting for hardware health that will shut down your system at a certain CPU temperature.

Just check your graphics driver then. Make sure you are not using Beta driver versions.
Also check your psu, minimum recommendation for HD7850 is 450watts. Maybe its the psu you are using that is just 430watts, which can be resulting in your problem. Try changing your psu to atleast 550 watts 80+broze.
See if that helps you :)

i am sure, it's just your psu getting you hang on to those error and getting a better one is going to resolve your problem :D
Good luck buddy :bounce:

Ohhhh, HD 7850 requires only 130 to 150W on max load with a single 6 pin supplementary power connector. So a decent 430W PSU is more than enough.

I had mistakenly stated the power consumption of GTX 760 which requires 170W on max load, so it will be much more helpful for the OP.

PSU slowly lose some of its initial wattage capacity over an extended period of time. If a psu is 80+bronze certified the amount of power it would providing is:
80/100*550watts=440watts
So its better to go with 550watts psu for him :)

80+bronze means it converts ~85% of the power for its components. And 85% of 430 watts will be 365.5 watts. Mean rest of the 15% is wasted and cannot be utilized by psu as 80+bronze highest efficiency is 85% at highest.

I am not sure whever the lost due to efficiency are included or not.

I have the device to check the power consumed by the PC when playing.

I'll tell you son if the nominal psu power is reached or not ;)

we will be waiting :D

The efficiency rating on a PSU is simply a rating for how well the PSU converts the AC power it receives from the outlet to DC power the components of the PC can use.

So, for simplify sake, lets say your PC components are drawing 100w of power. If you have a PSU that is 80% efficient, it will really draw 125w from the AC outlet.

I've seen people say that you take the Wattage rating of the PSU, and the efficiency is how much power the PSU can really output for your component. That means that a 500w PSU, rated for 80% efficiency will only be able to supply 400w. This is wrong. A 500w PSU should be able to output 500w to your PC components in one form or another. Efficiency has nothing to do with this.

Sorry there was misunderstanding :D
thanks for clearing it. Really appreciate your efforts.
Lets wait and see, what results he get.

You are welcome mate. Have a good day.

No new ideas, just the old ones : 1. Try another PSU to test. 2. Try your GPU to another PC to make sure it works properly there. 3. Try another GPU on your system see how it works. 4. The last one is a BIOS update may needed for your MB, but this is potentially dangerous, it could brick the MB if you do something wrong, so do at your own risk and read thoroughly and carefully the instructions before you attempt anything. Good luck.
