Hi everyone,

atm i have i5 3570k + r9 280x toxic and i want to switch to an 8-core processor, since games are starting to use more then 4 cores. I could put in the i7 3770k,since i already have the same socket motherboard, but i'm leaving some room and chances for amd's procssors like fx-9370 or 8350. I couldnt go as far as i7 4770k, cuz it would cost me abit too much at the end. Any sort of info and experiance that you guys might have would help a ton. Basically it's a match between i7 3770k and fx-9370/8350 or any sort of 8core processor of that price range that i might dont know about yet. oh and yeah got also an corsair h100i cooler so i got overcloacking covered. I am playing all sort of games, from bf4 to mmorpgs.

You don't need to change. The 3750k is superior in probably 95% of the games on the market compared to the 8350 or 9370. When it comes down to it, it's a battle of speed (overclocking) in the remaining 5%.

Also, you do know that the 3770k is basically a 3750k with Hyperthreading? Hyperthreading is have two threads per core rather than one. Considering that very few games actually use HT, the 3770k is pretty much equal to 3750k in gaming.

If you had an AMD CPU to start, I'd say upgrade. But you have one of the fastest quad cores on the market. There's no reason to slide to the right/left because you really won't make any improvements. BF4 is really the first CPU that is properly optimized for more core support. Once Mantle is released...

I dont see the point switching to an octo core , unless you use programs that make use of all that cores . Nowadays your cpu 4670 and i7 are the best you get . If said that you want to switch take a look at the 8320 and make oc you save money and get 8350/9370 performance .

You want more gaming performance, upgrade your graphics. Nothing you spend on CPU right now is worth it. Since MMO's tend to not like dual card configs very much, buying an R9 290/290x or a 780/780ti and selling your 280x is really your only viable option. Your CPU is good still for another gen or 2.

IF your motherboard can support x8/x8 for GPUs, grab another R9 280X Toxic for maximum improvement in FPS...

Be sure you have a solid 850watt or more power supply too (Corsair HX850 is able to power my 7970Ghz/R9 280X CF setup...)
