that looks like a standard atx power supply. if you blew a hole in that.....that case is dead my friend. easier to get a new case....and a quality power supply this time.
The hole I'm refering to is the one that's cut into the case for the power supply to fit in. My problem was I had no way to screw down the new supply because it physically was the same size as the case hole. the nearest screw holes are about 1/4" away from the one on the power supply itself.
why did you have to cut a hole? by any chance, could you post a picture, or a link to a picture, of the power supply and the back of the case? it sounds like you got a sfx sized power supply, or some other form factor.
it LOOKS like a normal atx psu, from the pictures on google. what was different about the alienware supply vs a normal supply?
