Hey All,

I recently decided to SLI a pair of Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 760 GPUs. Obviously these are non-reference models; their cooling system is 3 fans mounted on the GPU and these are oriented towards the bottom of the case (consequently one is blowing on the back of the other).

They are in a Bitfenix Shinobi Windowed case. The current cooling system is as follows:

Front: 2x120mm Intake
Bottom: 1x120mm Intake
Rear: 2x120mm Radiator Fans (Corsair H80i)
PSU: Bottom Mounted, fan facing down.

The issue I'm having is that one card is substantially hotter than the other. From CPUID Hardware Monitor:

Card 1: 68 C Max.
Card 2: 36 C Max.

Am I creating a dead zone with the bottom intake blowing into the downwards facing GPU fans? Should I put a side intake on to cool the cards directly? Thanks in advance!

It is a bigger difference than you normally see, I would try moving the bottom fan to the side and see if it changes.

First, switch them around and see the temperatures.

I'm wondering if maybe only the one card is actually being used. Maybe there's an SLI issue?

If it is a SLI issue then performance would be the same with 1 or 2 cards.

plug your monitor into the bottom card. it will relieve some of the work load on the top card resulting in lower temps. the only drawback is you can only access the bios with the top card. I had a 19C drop in temperature by doing this.
