I'm gearing up to take the 220-802 here in a few weeks and I'm having a hard time finding what type of simulations are going to be included. I obviously don't need to know exactly whats covered but I would like to know if it is command line related stuff, OS troubleshooting, or whatever. I've already passed the first part, so I just want to knock this out. I have the objectives, and I watch Professor Messers videos, so I have an idea of what they're going to test on, but I'm wondering if anyone that has taken the exam recently can maybe give me some clues as to what they saw during the test. Thanks in advance!

I took it in April of last year I think. If I remember correctly (it's hard because 801 and 802 blur together now) I did see one "here's a command prompt use it to do X" question that was annoying and i couldn't solve because it was an extremely limited simulation. (typing help turned up like 3 commands, I almost want to say that after looking it up after the test the command I was supposed to use wasn't there...)

But if you know the REST of the information really well i wouldn't worry to much. There are lots of "troubleshooting" questions that ask you how to solve X, which would be covered in any A+ study material. I used an online study guide and it helped me, because I was able to just do the practice tests over and over until I was able to complete them 100%, and it also let me see the answers/explanation as soon as I answered the question, and it would explain what the answer actually was, and also what all the other wrong answers actually were.

I passed 801 on the first time because hardware is easy, but i failed 802 on the first time by just like 20 points or something, but it helped me figure out what I was missing that the test wanted me to know and the 2nd time was much easier.
