Hello good folks!
First question here so I'll do my best!
My current setup:
Intel core i3 3240
RAM Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
HDD WD Caviar Blue - 1TB
Gainward GTX650 GS, 1GB
Windows 7 64bits ultimate
----- update----
Mother Board: Gigabyte H77-DS3H - H77
psu CORSAIR CS550M, 80+ Gold, 550W
--------------------

I have a spare 150 EUR / 200 USD. What would you advise me to buy to boost this configuration?

Many many thanks!

Your best bet would be to up the GPU, but I would wait for a good deal and save a few dollars more for a gtx 760. They could be had for 200$ around Black Friday, but things have changed and they are back to 250$.

You can not effectively over clock that CPU much, I would not recommend it. If you want to overclock you need a new motherboard and CPU.

You should upgrade the graphics card, and at a later date upgrade the CPU to a 3570 non k version (I believe your motherboard is a 1155? Double check - I'm typing on my phone ATM)

change GPU to HD 7770. 10% cheaper and 10% better. OR a HD 7850 additional $50-$80
also you still need mobo, PSU and sound card
Motherboard - a lot of good ones are less than $100
PSU - get a 500W (600W is you wanna do slight OCing) $50-90$
Sound card - just buy a cheap $10-$20 card

got a CORSAIR CS550M, 80+ Gold, 550W psu

what will the sound card give me? I just use headsets or a crappy 2.1 logitech speaker set :p

sound card manages the sound... same goes with graphics card manages graphics
no sound card means no sound
also where are you gonna hook the headset/speaker if no sound card

A motherboard upgrade could be good. A CPU upgrade would be better. I suggest the i5-4670k, if you're willing to spend a little bit more than 200 USD.

Boards these days often come with some sort of integrated sound, some better than others

GPU would probably give the best punch in terms of performance (especially to the games/other gpu intensive tasks).

A decent SSD could also be had for that money, it would help in terms of all around snappiness (although it won't help much for things that need the raw power from better hardware like a gpu/cpu for games)
