PC not booting

I just installed a new mobo (m5a99x evo r2.0) and when I turn it on, the CPU fan runs, and I can open the BIOS, but cannot get my PC to boot. It fails every time. The 'boot_device_led' is red, but I'm not sure what to do about that.

I heard about BIOS Flashback, do I need to do that?

I means your system doesn't detect any boot device that has an operating system on it (i.e. Windows 7/8 DVD, Linux DVD, Hard disk, SSD). Did you installed a operating system already? Check the connections between your hard disk/ssd to your motherboard. Make sure the power cable is inserted correctly too.

I have it installed correctly AFAIK. I have it plugged into a sata port and the power connector is in tight. I installed a new CPU with this, if that matters. I'm lost right now.

My BIOS detects my HDD... But it won't boot still. Someone please help. I've read the manual and all that. I have no idea what to do.
