Place on the GPU to connect gpu fan is broken

A couple weeks ago, I was helping my brother test some of his parts to see which was bad and it seems that I damaged my GPU when I removed it because the GPU fan won't turn on anymore. The GPU still works fine besides a broken fan but my GPU, a gtx 470 gets notoriously hot without the special cooling fan that I used to replace the stock fan a while back. My gpu is now reaching 100C+ when I try to play any games and it turns off.

Anyways, at first I thought I accidentally pulled the wires running from the fan to gpu loose so I ordered replacement fans that came in today. After replacing the fans, it still didn't work so I connected the fans into my brothers GPU and they worked great which means the connection port on the gpu fan must be busted.

The fan wire is a 3-pin but it has a weird plastic piece that fits perfectly into the 4-pin on my gpu. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit into any of the other connection places on my motherboard or to any of the 2pin connectors coming from my power supply.

Is there anything I can do without having to buy a new GPU? I don't have the tools or know-how to solder, neither do I know anything about rewiring a cable. Is there anything I can do like buy some kind of adapter that would work for me to plug it into my motherboard or one of the power supply cables?

I'm leaving the country in 6 months and won't be back for 2-3 years so I really don't want to put any more money into fixing this than I have to. I just want to get my gpu fan working so I can play some of my games before I leave. Thanks!

Solution
Well at least contact your gpu manufacture and tell them to quote you with a price to fix the pcb fan socket. Maybe it worth it.

I don't think I can RMA, I bought the card 3 years ago and can't even remember where I bought it from because it's not in my newegg order history. Plus, I replaced the original stock fan, doesn't that void any kind of return?
