Hello there,

I built a small system for my nieces.
It is an Acer Veriton S670G. Check the specs below:

http://www.connectingup.org/discount/refurbished-computers/acer-veriton-s670g-pentium-dual-core-e5200-25ghz-2gb-ram-160gb-dvdrw

I have added/modified the following components:
2+2 = 4Gb ram 1066MHZ
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.8GHZ
160+160GB HDD
Sapphire Hd7750 1 GB http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/product_index.aspx?pid=1454&lid=1
PSU - It is some 300Watt psu ( i can not get its picture at the moment)

---------------

during normal use and during normal games like Limbo, Braid the temps are:
GPU: 60C
CPU 48C

While playing Mirrors edge on highest, Tomb raider 2013 on high after 30 minutes the pc shuts down - i think it happens when GPU hits 104+ C temperature, CPU remains on 60-65C.

The PC never shuts down while normal use.

So what would keep the GPU cool? A better PSU a GPU cooler?

What do you guys think?

Solution
Sounds like maybe the heatsink is not seated on the GPU chip right.
You may need to disassemble, clean off the paste, put new paste on and reset the heatsink making sure it makes good contact.

GPU is brand new. So is that even possible? so why does it not heat up ever after hours of continuous browsing or playing small games?.
Dont you think heating gradually from 50C to 104C+ and only while playing heavy titles is telling us either GPU just does not have good cooling or PSU is not enough powerful?...
