with Prime95 after the temperature stabilize , its can rise as high as 97degrees(tough mostly about 92-95) on individual core. Cpu temperature is better about 85degrees.

I'm using the stock cooler and no OC on the system.

Do i need a better heatsink?

In normal usage, you will not approach those numbers.
You are ok so long as you are not overclocking.

You bought a "K" in order to be able to raise the multiplier, and that will take a better cooler.

Spend $30 at least on a cm hyper212 or better. You can OC higher if you have a Z87 based motherboard, and your cooler will be less noisy.

Prime95 only tests one part of the cpu. For a different test, try OCCT.

If you want to overclock, then consider a top air cooler with a 140mm fan like Noctua pr Phanteks.

You need Noctua NH-D14 ... Considering your temperatures and unlocked multiplier, nothing is better than it in air-cooling segment. You should be able to OC the CPU too to an extent.

I totally recommend D14. If you want to go even higher, H60 / H80i from Corsair is a good choice too (Closed loop liquid cooling).
