Mobo: asus m5a97 le r2.0
CPU: amd fx 6300 black edition
RAM: 2x4GB Gskill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL
64bit OS

When I boot into Windows and view how much RAM is available I'm met with 8GB usable (3.90GB)

I've updated my bios, checked my Msconfig.exe, tried each stick on their own, tried them in other slots, made sure the slots weren't dusty. I've also ran a Memtest to make sure both sticks are working properly. I've made sure none of my CPU pins are bent.

I've referred to my motherboard manual and as far as I can tell, the RAM I'm using is not supported but as far as I can tell, they both still work seeing as they're both recognized in Windows and Bios.
So I've found a temporary fix but it's quite annoying having to boot into bios on every boot. I have to go and lower the frequency to 1333Mhz, boot and then Windows will use all 8GB.

So yeah, my question is, doe anyone know a permanent fix for this?

Yeah. If I don't go into bios and press save and reset, it'll revert back to 3.9GB, I'm not sure why though, the bios setting are saved and each time I have to go back, it's not as if I'm changing anything as it's already set to 1333Mhz, I just re-click 1333Mhz, save and reset and it shows as 8GB again.
