Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs?

Can a Biostar TA970 work with a fx-6300? Because its says on part picker that Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs, What does this mean? Is it not compatible at all? How do i update BIOS? What is BIOS? Yes i am a noob. This is my build, (so far)

The bios is the main page that is normally blue and you can change things to do with your computer. Its the main page that you have to bash delete to get into. You are about to get a new version of this, which you make windows 8 go to it, but its still the same.

What they mean is some motherboard sometimes had weird issues like ive had before where it only picks up one core of the cpu. If it happens you have to "reflash" the motherboard which is easy but it could go wrong. Basically you find the update file for your excact motherboard, put it on a usb and using your manual that came with it you flash the file to the motherboard. The hardest part is tracking down the file.

But in all theory you motherboard already supports the chip and shouldnt need an update. However there is defiantly a chance that it does. Yet it doesnt take very long.
