I want to be able to travel with the external hard drive to the UK, which type should I get? The USB power one, because of the different power supply over there?
Thank

I doubt it. They would have mentioned it on the site:

I know for sure Western Digital doesn't add adaptors like that either - I bought the 2TB and the 3TB model.

I'd just get a lighter model that doesn't need a power adapter. E.g.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822178431 - 1 TB for $113+$6 shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236189 - this one has 1TB for $80 or 2TB for $140

I have a Lacie 2TB which came with several adapters. I can use it in North America, Europe, and there are 3 other adapters I don't even recognize :)

Edit: it's a larger one, i.e. with power adapter.

It may be simpler indeed to get a WD My Passport or a LaCie Rikiki or whatever Seagate or Toshiba have to offer - smaller drives that take all the power from USB. They're easier to carry around too.

Many Thanks Aevm. Well if the power adapter can handle 110v to 240v there should be no problem, all you will need is an adaptor to plug it in to the wall in Europe.....right? Do you know if Seagate backup plus has a power plug which can take 110v-240v?
