ASUS Z87-Deluxe/Quad & i7-4770K Overclocking HSF

If I utilize the ASUS Z87-Deluxe/Quad TPU overclocking options with an i7-4770K, will the stock HSF suffice? I don't plan on overclocking any further than what the motherboard's options provide.

Oh dear no, it'll get you into high heat territory real quick. You should be able to run "turbo" setting but even then you're probably going to run into heat issues. I will really push to change the heatsink before enabling those settings. Regardless of heatsink, when you do decide to enable that, be sure to monitor your temps with a program such as SpeedFan or CoreTemp

No, You must have an aftermarket cooler. I recommend either a thermalright silver arrow or the Noctua NH-d14.

Im currently at 4.3 ghz @1.176 volts using the Noctua
