Only 3.39 gig ram usable on a 64 bit 8gig system - why?

Hi guys

Just put my new PC together and I noticed that, despite having 8gigs of ram installed and a copy of Win 7 Professional 64 bit, the PC is only listing 3.39 gigs as usable.

How can I fix this? Any ideas what might cause it? I did only just put it together so are there things I needed to have downloaded for it to work?

Check in the BIOS for memory remap/remapping option and make sure its set to enabled.

Run MSConfig

Under boot options -> advanced settings -> Maximum Memory

Clear any check mark if present, click apply then restart the system.
