Moving OS to a new SSD

Currently I'm running a 60gb SSD as my C:. As you might have guessed, I filled that pretty quickly. I bought a new bigger SSD and was wondering if there's a way to simply move the entirety of the C: drive OR just the OS to this new drive and have Windows treat it as such. I've done a few searches but not been able to find anything very clear on the matter.

If there isn't or in the end I decide against it and go for a fresh install (which I'm leaning towards anyway tbh), I'd really love some pointers for things to do to ensure that the new drive doesn't get bogged down with temp files and such. Is there a way to set default directories during Windows installation?

Thanks in advance. I tried to make that all as clear as possible but if there's any clarification needed just let me know.

If you don't want your new SSD to fill up quickly. Try buying AVG PC tuneup. I am currently using it and it has free up disk space option to registry cleaner and also provides recommendation to increase the performance of your computer. So use free up disk space option and scan C:. and it will give you the name of all the files with their size along with the help of pie chart diagram. And you can delete no use files yourself.

I am guessing you have a desktop and don't have option to add 2 SSD at once so you can't copy first SSD files to the 2nd one. Try going to IT shop they well help you move your data from one SSD to other.

Edit: Try opening your case and see if you have extra cable then you connect the cable with both the SSD and copy data keeping your case open and after your work is then shut down the computer and then close the case.

All that is on my current C: is basically Windows and a handful of Programs that won't install elsewhere. I've set the default install directory to my D: so the majority of my stuff is installed and stored over D: and E: (1tb and 2tb respectively). My issue is that I have a couple of intense programs that I'd like to run from an SSD but I don't have the room (3DS Max and Photoshop and the such). They will install to other drives but they have core files that need to be on the C: drive (SSD) which fills it up, making the drive slower overall. I'd like to have the programs in their entirety on one drive and still have room.
