As in the topic my computer needs a birthday present.
here is the setup:
16 gb ddrIII 1333 MHz Ripjaws
ocz modxstream pro 500W
hd5850
Thermalright HR-02
i5-750 ~ 4 GHz
Gigabyte P55-US3L

LG LED E2370V-BF 23'' 1920x1080
HP L1940T 19'' 1280x1024

Rough estimate of my budget, I'm Polish btw. so 1200zl, 395$ 288 euro 240 pounds

I thought about changing for the whole budget only graphic card for gtx770 (not sure which brand is the best), but how about the bottleneck? I won't be changing anytime soon the rest of the architecture. Thanks for help in advance.

Either a 770 or a 280X would be a big upgrade.

For the budget you have, this would be the best upgrade imo.

A CPU upgrade would require a new Mobo, which will put you over 288 Euro's

The I5 you have shouldn't bottleneck the GPU that much. You will be maxing all games bar large multiplayer games I would think. So avoid 64 player Bf4, and you are fine.

I have used Palit and MSI in the past, both are fine. Not heard any complaints about gigabyte cards either. Which ever is cheapest at the time really, the 280x and 770 are both great, the 770 is faster in some games, the 280x in others.

I dont yet have a 7** nvidia card, so cant advise on a specific brand. I havent used an ATI for a while either, so cant recommend brands there.

But MSI are usually the most reliable of the ones mentioned.
