I have P8H61-M LE and 8GB ddr3 CL9 240 kingston hyper x ram.
I think the guy that built my pc said something about my board only being able to take 1333 so he locked it at that, but i recently read on some forums people using 1600 and having no problems at all... ??

Solution
If there's an option to set the ram speed to 1600, you might want to try it out for yourself. But to answer the question on your title: Yes. Your mobo can take that ram.

Wow great, I've tried it and it works great, i can even feel it is faster really.
How come, on ASUS site, in specifications it says 1066 or 1333 only, and that if i go into bios there's an option to set higher ones?
And on one of the other forums a guy linked this: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/H61-PLUS/Intel-H61-Memory-QVL.pdf
I was not able to find my RAM on that so i thought there was no hope haha.
Is my PC able to take 1600RAM because my CPU is 3rd Gen??
