I know that the fan is not meant to spin until 40% load, but I became uneasy when I was running BF4 on Ultra settings at >60fps yet it was still not spinning.
So I have tried running Prime95 and Furmark at the same time, only for 15 minutes mind.
CPU was running at around 80-85% reaching temps of 98 Celcius.
I don't know how much GPU usage I had, should have checked but it was running at 70 Celcius.
Furmark was 1080p 32x MSAA, Post FX, Stability Test.

Does this sound like a faulty PSU?

This is the system I was using:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (w/ Stock Cooler)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

Well running stress test on your rig should be around 400watts from the wall so really close to 40% load. 383watts here so hard to tell if you actually are reaching 40% load http://anandtech.com/show/6994/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-r...

Shouldn't 40% load be 300watts for a 750w PSU? In which case I'd be over.

383 from the wall at 90% efficiency is close to 350watts which could be with in margin of error but for all means contact Corsair support and find out what they say about the issue.

Why it is not spinning

As long as you dont experience random shutdowns it is good.

I appreciate the quick responses guys.
I contacted Corsair the other day, still awaiting a reply, so I thought I would get an outside opinion.

@VolvoDoto the PSU is running fine, all components are working & it can withstand my GPU/CPU stressing. That review says sometimes it did not spin up until 50% load, which may be why mine is not. Just wish I had a second 770 or a system in which I could test my particular one.

I'll continue to use it & see what Corsair say :)

There appears to be a recall on RM750 and RM850 PSU's with a serial number begining 1341 and lower (13 being the year, 41 the week). Source -

I've had no spinning up the fan and random shutdowns, requested a RMA on it.
