It's most likely the DisplayFusion deal you installed. Their forums have a bunch of posts regarding similar issues as yours.

Just to be sure you uninstalled all of the files do a search on "My PC" or "This PC" in the file explorer.

See if there is an updated driver for your card. If you are already current, reinstall it anyway. Geforce Experience is easiest to use for this.

I have checked for more displayfusion files on my computer and found some backups. I deleted them too without luck. The lag still remains. I also talked with a local computer repair shop. They told me to load a windows save from a date before the problems started but the only save was from yesterday and there was no other options or saves from older dates.

I would tend to agree with the repair guys at this point. Fresh install+cross fingers?

Although, I would do one last thing before the reinstall...verify all your game caches via Steam.

I know whats your problem cause once it happened to my friend sv's pc
download tweaknow regcleaner
you can download it from http://www.tweaknow.com
and in that window cleaner home tab select uninstall program and use disk cleaner and there
you will find atleast data worth 2 gb will be cleared from your drive and also you will notice a difference in your gaming cause your processor needs a bit of maintainance
.

Select my answer as best if works.
