Ok, I asked this recently, however I would like to gain a little more clarity and understanding on this.

Today I received my R9 280x and this psu http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/XFX-PRO-650-W-Po....

Now it has 2x 6 pin gpu connectors and 2x8 pin gpu connectors.

The one 6 pin has 3 yellow and 2 black. It looks to be designed this way intentionally, however I cannot be sure.

Now will it matter or not if I use the 6 pin that has 3 yellow and 2 black?

This is more for gaining knowledge and understanding why the psu has 1 black cable on the 6 pin missing. Thanks again.

How in depth do you want the answer?

I looked on my old Antec 750W Green PSU as its not in my case. I see 3 of both wires. The yellow wires carry the 12V power, while the black wires are of course grounds. I'm not sure why your PSU decided to go with one less ground but it should be ok. I've seen adapters not use them, so I'm sure hardware cables are ok.

A) Will the missing ground wire have an effect on anything
B) Will it cause performance issues

Should be no to both questions.
