Hi i recently bought a new computer and i've been playing Skyrim with various graphic mods, i am using an AMD 6600k with the intergrated gpu, the max safe temp is meant to be 74 degrees, but when i'm running skyrim my temp averages from 74 degrees to 77 degrees.
I plan on buying a new cooler in about a months time, but i would like to know if it's safe to play with these temps until i get a new cpu cooler, or could i destroy my cpu that quickly?

Thanks in advance
Dan

Yes, it is safe.

If the CPU's internal temperature sensor detects a temperature too high, it will throttle back the clock. This will lower the amount of heat produced, and lower the amount of work it can accomplish. The CPU will actively ensure that it is healthy.

If you are concerned about the temperatures, get some case fans to push cool air in the front, and extract hot air out the back.
Should you still be uncomfortable with the resulting temps, then you could invest in a more effective (expensive) CPU cooler.
