I recently bought a motherboard and know nothing about installation. My friend told me I would need motherboard standoffs in order to install. I looked on newegg and I saw some. So I screw those into the board, set my motherboard on top and then screw the motherboard into those. But where do the screws that go through the motherboard into the standoffs come from? I'll link what I'm about to buy but I want to know where those screws from prior to purchasing this... thanks

computer cases come with motherboard standoffs and the screws which go with them.

the standoffs screw into the case where the motherboard goes. look at your motherboard and look at the holes on the case. fill the ones you will be needing.

the motherboard gets placed on these and then screwed down with those small screws.

you say you bought a motherboard.... to put in what? do you have an existing system? if so you should have standoffs and screws already (what is holding down your current motherboard?
