I have been thinking about switching from AMD to Intel for awhile. This is what i am running with in my current PC.
CPU: AMD FX-8320
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) running at 1600
Video Card: HD radeon 7950
PSU: 600 wat Thermaltake

And this is what i am going to get.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K Ivy Bridge-E
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-X79-UD3
Ram: 16GB (4 x 4GB) running at 1866
Video card: another 7950 or better single card
PSU: Rosewill LIGHTNING 1000W
SSD: 128GB ADATA Premier Pro SP900

My question is. Will this run as will as i hope? I am expecting around 65% to 75% increase in performance. also any ideas on the build would be helpful i have about $2000limit for it tho.

That intel cpu is a beast if you are planning to play games only i recomend an i5 4570 / i5 4670k or i7 4770(this one for more future proof and 3d editing/rendiring) . PSU a bit overpowered if you plan to sli 750 - 850 seems ok . On terms of gpu , the rest is good to go but I will take an 780 / 290 .

I am going to game on it mostly. So would a Intel Core i7-4770K in a GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3 board with a 770 or 780 run alot better then me current setup? I have no experience with intel or nvidia.

This setup would be a lot better for gaming, and I believe you would easily see a 50 - 75% increase for gaming purposes than what you have now, and this would give you a single card setup and not have to worry about crossfire drivers/support. The motherboard also gives you the ability to add a second 780 ti in the future should you want to.

Normally I would suggest the i5-4670k since it's $100 cheaper, but the i7 is more future-proof and better in general computing.

Again with memory, I would say 8 is plenty, but 16 will last a long time, which is also why I upgraded to the 256gb SSD instead.

Kept it $200 under your $2000 mark, wasn't sure exactly how much you felt comfortable with spending, but here's a start. The 780 ti is the beast of beasts lol Let me know what you think of this build out.

I like that build its nice. So i think i got the build down to this.
CPU:Intel Core i7-4770K with a H90 cooler
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z87-HD3
Video Card: GeForce GTX 780
SSD:128GB
PSU:CORSAIR AX series AX760
RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) at 1600
This will run me around $1,553.92

If you're more comfortable with that, sure! If you're going all the way, might as well spend an extra $200 on the Ti, but it's your money we're dealing with, not mine lol The 780 is still a beast.

Just keep in mind with the RAM, you won't be able to upgrade without buying a completely new set. But that's assuming 16 stops being enough lol
