my labtop was running windows 7, about two months ago I believe it has a virus because when I turn it on it tries to start then after awhile it goes into a blue screen, nothing else just a blue screen

Get a portable virus scanner and malware program on another computer and put them on a USB drive, boot to the USB and run them... Like SuperAntiSpyware for example

Hit F8 several times when you turn it on, right after the BIOS finishes loading, select Safe Mode, does it start then?
Best thing to do here is to get a new hard drive and install Windows clean on that. Then use your old drive to copy your files to the new setup.

tried that but when I hit safe mode it just tries to start and after about a couple of hours the screen goes blue
