I bought a new case and a micro atx power supply so I could put the motherboard in the new case and power supply to run my new graphics card but when I went to connect the small front panel conectors I thought the stock front panel connectors from the dell case had a custom like conector which fited th motherboard perfectly! So can I still use the new PSU or was it a waste of £100+ ?

Front panel connectors don't have a lot to do with power supplies, and this motherboard looks fairly standard.

It is still going to have the standard wires for Power LED (PLED), HDD LED, RESET SW and possibly Speaker. You just need the board layout for that motherboard. This can be found at Dell.com

But they used standard pins and spacing, nothing insurmountable. Just need to identify which wire is what and hook it up. May have to transplant your new case pins to the Dell connector, and that is somewhat easy to do. All you need is a simple multimeter (voltmeter) set to Ohms. Expose the individual wires by cutting away the sleeves and you can test each one by pressing the buttons. Simply pull the pin from your new case wires (a small screwdriver will be able to depress the small holding clip on each pin exposed on the opposite side in the picture you provided, and pull the wire and connector appart) and pull the wire from your Dell connector, and plug in the new case wire.

Same pins for the USB connectors as well. Wikipedia has great pinouts for standard USB connectors if you want to try and tackle those.
