HELP! No display on Newly Built computer!!

Hello!

i just finished building my computer and when i go to plug in the HDMI or the VGA/DVI cable the monitor doesn't turn on. in a previous test before it was installed in computer everything worked fine but now that all is said and done… no display!!

I have Intel i5 3570K

Asrock Z77 Extreme 3 MOBO

Thermaltake MSI Commander

Gskill Ripjaws ram (2 sticks of 4gb)

GTX 770 Video Card,

PSU 600W.

Everything is running smoothly just the display won't work!! please help i'm freaking out.

How do you know that everything is running smoothly if the display doesn't work? There are several things that could be causing this.. I think it's probably something you wired incorrectly or a fault in the motherboard.

well what i meant was all the fans and lights are spinning.

i only have the PCI-E plug in the video card.. am i missing something?

UPDATE:

THE MONITOR IS NOW WORKING BUT THIS MESSAGE APPEARS "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and select a key"

Select your hard drive as the boot device

i put it as the number 1 boot option but there is no windows installed so do i need to do that first? i don't have the disc i'm doing it thru a USB

Ah okay then you need to set boot from USB first

It didn't show up as an option to boot from so i was very confused. i'm currently burning Windows to a disc and then trying that… any suggestions? this is nerve racking tbh

I don't own an Asrock motherboard but the option should of been there somewhere.
Booting from cd/dvd drive first will definitely be an option.
No need for it to be nerve racking most problems get solved on these forums
