What I would like to accomplish is to have two different hard drives each with their own operating system (ex. Windows 7 on one and Linux on the other). But I already know how to do that fairly well from just reading about other people doing that.
My question is if I boot up, let's say, Windows 7, which is on one of the two hard drives, would to other hard drive that has Linux installed on it be spinning for any reason?
I don't want a hard drive spinning (or in other words "turned on") if it isn't even being used by the operating system on the other hard drive.
