So I am building my first gaming computer, and I come across GPU's I don't know whether I should get a 1gb or a 2gb card, I am really new on this stuff, and all I know is that the ram corresponds with the resolution. And since I've not used my 2 monitors in a few months I forgot the resolution of both of them. Help is needed :D!

For more than one screen, I would opt for the 2GB card. Of course, it also depends on the games and what the cards actually are. If you're buying an HD 7750, then don't bother with the 2GB unless you plan to run crossfire in the future. Some cards have extra VRAM thrown on as a marketing gimick even though the card itself isn't powerful enough to run anything that would use that much VRAM.

What GPUs are you looking at and what are you looking to do with it?

Higher end game graphics will require more memory, the desktop or web browser on the other screen will require almost none. For 1080P on high settings 1GB will occasionally limit you depending on the game and the settings, 2GB won't have an issue, but if it is a lower end card that won't be able to do high detail at 1080P with good frame rates then the extra GB won't get you anything so which cards are you looking at.
