Hey everyone,
I have been trying to connect to League of Legends and also Steam. The messages both say that I am unable to connect to the servers. I have tried to disable the firewall, reset the internet connections, and changed the ip address on my com. None of these solutions have worked :(  any suggestions? I am guessing that my router is outdated.

Were you able to connect to the servers before? If you were, then it's likely a problem on their side.

If you were never able to connect, then you may need to open up ports on your router firewall. Start off by trying to successfully ping the game/Steam.

The problem its that you install a program and the proxy settings changed

to fix it you need to reset the setting
to reset your proxy settings yourself, follow these steps:

On Windows XP, click Start, or on Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the windows buttom, and then click Run.
In the Run text box, copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) or type the following:
reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v ProxyEnable /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
Click OK.
And again On Windows XP, click Start , or on Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the windows buttom, and then click Run.
In the Run text box, copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) or type the following:
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" /v ProxyServer /f
Click OK.
I had this problem today and i fixed it :D  hope its fix for u too
